“ First time at James & Main and we’ll definitely be back! Food was delicious, drinks were great, service was awesome and atmosphere was inviting! If you haven’t been there yet, 10/10 recommend!! ”
“ We decided to take our neighbor n friend out for lunch for his birthday. I called this place to make a reservation n they were fully booked inside, which looked very nice. We opted 2 sit outside bc, weather was nice n we had a wonderful time. Our server Joe was amazing . The deck was lovely. Had a huge tent n fans. We sat on the water n really enjoyed having the outside to ourselves. I’m certain that will change bc, this place is a hidden gem. We started w two appertizers. The chicken ginger dumplings were delicious n cooked to perfection. We also got the eggplant n zucchini chips, also phenomenal. Afterwards, we had a French dip, yummy n nice size. My husband had a poke bowl n enjoyed it n the birthday boy had chicken and enjoyed it. They had a great wine menu , bt, the house Pinot noir was excellent. They also had a whiskey collection in back of wine list. And, a separate menu for speciality cocktails. We strongly recommend this place. Had such a lovely afternoon. The chocolate mousse was to die for . We will definitely be back for dinner. ”
“ I recently dined at the New Waterfront Restaurant James and Maine " Former REEL" and had an absolutely fantastic experience! The manager, Danny, was excellent and ensured everything was perfect. Our server, also named Danny, was incredibly attentive and paid great attention to detail. We had Seafood Tower, and it was beyond delicious—every bite was a delight. The food was superb, and the overall experience was top-notch. I give this place 5 stars across the board. Highly recommended! ”

Located conveniently across from the East Rockaway train station, this cozy spot combines an inviting atmosphere with an exceptional menu that caters to all tastes. From the moment you walk in, the warm ambiance and friendly staff make you feel right at home. Mike behind the bar is extremely friendly and accommodating. The food is nothing short of incredible. My favorite is the steak, always cooked exactly how I like it, and the many apps, including tuna tartare and eggplant and zucchini bites. Every dish is quality. Their cocktail menu is also fantastic— I highly recommend their secret menu Pickle Martini will a drop of chili oil, exquisite. Service is always top-notch. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to ensure you have a great dining experience. If you’re in the area, James & Main is a must-visit. There is room outside on a stunning deck overlooking the water or in their cozy dining room and/or bar. I always take my friends here and they also love it. ”
“ We celebrated our daughter’s Sweet 16 Birthday at James and Main. Food was great. Service was excellent and Danny who helped plan our event made it stress free. Bar tenders and wait staff worked their butts of making sure we all were taken care of especially the extra attention they gave my daughter and her friends. We had access to the bar and the back tent area for 60pp. Plenty of room with a back drop and Photo Booth area. Definitely recommend this place and will be back. ”
“ Absolutely loved this spot! Went here for a private gathering with some friends and the experience was wonderful! All of the staff were friendly and attentive and absolutely loved the atmosphere & decor, very classic and gives “old money” vibes to me! I had the lasagna with braised beef & burrata and it was to die for, I wish I had more! Also loved the cheesecake & mousse for dessert. The owner is passionate about his craft and the experience - couldn’t recommend the spot more! ”
“ Unfortunately the only issue I have is that it was so loud, maybe it was just the people that we were around. That being said, the Jimmy oysters were ridiculous. The steak was great and the polenta was phenomenal! The staff was very kind and got us seated as soon as we walked in to the restaurant. The bathroom was really cool as well I will say it gave off Godfather vibes. ”
